There are two formats to choose from:

1. Face-to-face appointments using Zoom. Please consult these instructions on our website.

2. Asynchronous appointments using our e-Tutoring document drop. Please consult these instructions for using our e-Tutoring system.

Steps to Make an Online Zoom Appointment:

  • Sign-in and choose an available appointment.
  • If you would like to use the "face-to-face" Zoom option, please schedule the appointment as you usually would.
    • To access your Zoom appointment:
      • Click on your scheduled appointment
      • Under location, there will be a link to your consultant's Zoom office. Copy and paste that link into your browser.
      • Have a shareable Google doc ready to work on with your consultant.
  • If no appointments are available, place your name on the waiting list. 

Steps to Follow for Your e-Tutoring Document Drop:

  • When scheduling your appointment, select the e-Tutoring option when prompted in the appointment window.
  • Upload your document (Google or Word doc) and your assignment prompt at any point before your selected appointment time.
  • At the end of your appointment, you will receive an email notifying you that your consultant has finished reviewing your document. You can access it at this point.

Important Writing Center Policies:

  • All cancellations must be made within three hours of your scheduled appointment.
  • Three no-shows and/or late cancellations will result in the suspension of your WCOnline account until the end of the semester. We will make exceptions for no-show appointments caused by internet or technology issues.
